SoundPatrol & VDG - Journey

The first major single release from Chicago pop-trio, The Shades. 'Take You Home' is an ode to the risk-taker, driven by its tight three-part harmonies, tongue-in-cheek lyrics, and horn parts recorded by New York City's 'Lawrence.'

I loved remixing this song! 

I fell in love with the original and as soon as I was able to get the vocals a song fell into place.  For this remix I wanted to go for a funky almost "disco" vibe but still keep a hard bassline drive.

For this track I was able to incorporate my guitar and bass playing which felt great. For newer projects I'm definitely going to be using more live instrumentation and potentially my own vocals.

Cant wait to play this live,  originally I didn't have the change up of "You're On" latterly but I like the surprise of it and the complete change up of the song.

This track started as a "2 Step Garage" style track but quickly turned into something different, when I added Madeon's - Shelter acapella the track fell into shape quickly after that.
