080. Lady Tazz

SUMIA, a young promising international talent from the techno scene of Istanbul. In her first year, she performed on stage at numerous well-attended international events in addition to more than 10 shows abroad. SUMIA, who has performed on the stages of renowned event companies (EXIT, DECIBELOPENAIR, etc.) at festivals throughout the world, particularly like Italy, Serbia, USA etc. She is also the founder of the techno music record label Volx Community & Records, which is location in Istanbul. She is the only proprietor of both the business and the event organization, she doesn't simply release the tracks  but also supports artists. The talented 23-year-old has been able to assure the backing of number of reputable prominent producers in a short time.  It is anticipated that the remix of the track on which she and Matrixxman collaborated would be well perceived by the audience soon. She collaborated with numerous record labels from other nations on some of the tracks she released in her debut year. On the beatport platform, her debut EP debuted at number eight and spent the first three months in the top 100 of all music categories. She quotes her music as  "expressing my emotions “. She also states that her tracks are musical narratives for her vision.

Fascinated by electronic music since 2010, when she discovered electro and totally fell in love with it. Since then, the club culture has been a very important part of her life. She danced countless hours on the dance floors. Years of presence at parties and festivals made her want to express herself as a DJ. Her sets are full of energy and the selection is diverse. She finds herself best in techno but interweaves elements of electro, acid and psytrance. Sometimes she likes to venture into slightly smoother vibes.

Masses over masses try themselves at being a DJ and in the production of techno. Being a newcomer in this overcrowded market does not seem appealing at first sight. Putting in a lot of effort to establish one's reputation is not everyone's cup of tea. To stand out of the masses one must buckle down or have the proper Vitamin B. When Vitamins are lacking, what especially counts are a strong will and persistence. Those are guarantors for the opportunity to exhibit one's talent eventually. The rise of Krenzlin followed this principle on one of the surest Newcomer-Floors in the world. After Sebastian Krenzlin started DJing in 2003, it took several years for him to eventually be discovered as a newcomer after his participation at the Tresor Award of Pacou in 2009. Since he played in the Tresor for the first time in September 2010, he is among the steady Ensemble of Berlin's legendary club.

With the series of events “New Faces“ and three allies he formed a platform for the performance of new faces. Every first Wednesday in the month, he starts his own special event under this flag seeking for new talents who impersonate this spirit.

Even as a producer Krenzlin build up a reputation since 2011. If one reads the list of labels under which he has released since, it is hard to believe that such a fantastic discography can be formed in this short amount of time. With Synewave, BCR, Mastertraxx Records, Slap Jaxx or IF?Records the best pools for exceptional, underground profiles of techno-acts of the last years string together. In the spring of 2012 a co-production with 88uw and Synewave followed and came like a bombshell exactly like the one countless times before in the Tresor...

Grounded podcast number 136 welcomes back a previously featured artist, Canadian hotshot Aahan.

A highlight of Toronto's blossoming techno scene, his recognition has taken a sharp rise over the last two years with some slamming self releases, a Raven Sigh EP titled 'Targeted Individuals' and more recently his 'Northern Cuts' EP on Obscuur as well as bundles of unreleased material being played on the circuit by some of the biggest artists in the game.

Within this mix he has made sure to include some of his own tracks amongst some of his current favorites and old classics.

We're back after a little break with a banging new podcast by Berlin-based beat-maker Bollmann (https://soundcloud.com/bollmannx). Besides primarily focusing on his own productions - some of which can be heard in this mix - he also runs the "Hardcode" podcast series, which focuses on exploring the more brutal and pounding facets of techno. This mix is quite pounding as well, and really illustrates Bollmann's Motto: "some DJs like to write a lot of text about themselves. I like to let my music speak for itself. But to wrap it up: bang bang bang".
