wellp.... here we are. today is the day, that we bring you the very last final track for our compilation, Feel Trip, Vol. 1 <3
this entire album has been such a dreamy experience. there was so much work and time and effort that went into it and i really can't believe it's already over! all of these extremely talented artists really came together to make something truly magical and inspiring happen, and now we are off to an incredible start with Night Owl Collective and the future is already looking really promising and exciting. today's song is by none other than the one and only Jade Cicada! you may have seen his name floating around a bit because he has done almost all of the mastering work for all the songs we released. a quick shout out to him for that- he really did amazing work and if you need some mastering done, he is definitely the guy to go to! anyway- back to the business. this song from him actually seems to be the most highly anticipated track of the album! whether it's the perfect little fart noise before the drop or the super addictive melodies and sound design, it's no wonder that this track was immediately a favorite! i feel like this song is a great way to close the first volume of Feel Trip and we hope you all enjoy it more than ever. after today there will be a little bit of silence from us here at Night Owl Collective, to allow some time for everyone to keep enjoying all these beautiful songs from our first album- but no worries, we have lots of big things planned for the future and will be releasing some really amazing tunes soon! thank you once again for all the incredible support and love. it's been a wild ride. i love you all <3 now.... As a label and artist collective, Gravitas has helped cultivate uncounted experiences for passionate music lovers across the world, and as a celebration of five years in this labor of love, the crew has released a compilation to honor a truly noteworthy milestone. The 34 track collection spans only a tiny corner of the label’s massive 100 album catalog, but still offers a healthy slice of the varied styles and artists that have collaborated with Gravitas over the years. New challenges will undoubted await the team in the years to come, but if the past is any indication, Gravitas Recordings will meet every obstacle with creativity and dedication for the foreseeable future.

No Expectations

It’s midnight on a moonless night, suspended between yesterday and tomorrow.

We are facing equal parts calamity and calm.

We dream the dreams of our sons and daughters, whilst fending away nightmares created by ourselves, the authors.

It is a Conundrum we live in by sleep, and while we wake, our worlds are as much defined by our circumstances as by the mental perspectives we bring to them.

We must choose our thoughts and words carefully as storytellers of our minds and of the world we inhabit. Transported by Goya and our suspension of disbelief, our stories may temporarily become reality.

What do we want our reality to be? What is our reason for bee-ing?

The Japanese concept of Ikigai (生き甲斐) aptly defines "a reason for being” as the source of value in one's life or the things that make one's life worthwhile.

What do we live for? What is the reason you wake in the morning?

Whatever it may be, be gentle on yourself and your kin of this only planet we call home. We are entwined with it, and it with us. May you find your Kilig — that thrilling feeling of butterflies in your stomach that you feel when you are positively alive and...  more
