As summer looms just around the bend, we’re gearing up for another great festival year. First up is WMC, and while we won’t be there in the flesh, we’ll be there in spirit with a spectacular Miami House Sampler featuring Timmy P, Stefano Esposito, Ian Jay, JP Chronic and +1.
From beautiful sunset vibes of Timmy P’s ‘Movement’ we move to darker nights with ‘Deeptronic’ from Stefano featuring deep chords and dirty crescendos. Ian Jay then throws a heavy beat directly into the mix with a high-pressure classic atmosphere of ‘Take No More’. Getting a bit more playful, JP Chronic utilizes organic percussion infused with bongos to support the steamy vocals of ‘Make Me Burn’. And to close our sample, +1 takes us on a deeper journey rich with pads and a rich, dreamy atmosphere. Having been at the forefront of dance music for over a decade, James Connolly revives his house-focused Dance System project for this first-rate single summer for Eats Everything’s Edible label. 

If slammin’ house bangers are what you like, then Dance System delivers them in spades.  An infectious piano motif and thumping kick shapes the lead track, ‘Please’, which pumps relentlessly, bountiful with playful vocal chops, tension building strings and DJ trickery edits.  The gloriously titled ‘Make Funky House Great Again’ certainly makes a damn fine stab at doing just that.  A skippy rhythm underpins some dope filter work on the sample, a nod perhaps to the French sounds of Roule/Bangalter, but totally fresh with Dance System’s modern sound stamped all over it.

Connolly has left an indelible mark as a progressive producer and DJ under both his L-Vis 1990 and Dance System aliases, alongside co-founding the highly influential label, Night Slugs.  Following Dance System releases on Clone and Ultramajic, Connolly took a hiatus from producing house music, as he focused on other projects, reviving the alias in April with the Wind 'Em Up EP, on Monkeytown Records, which was supported by Calvin Harris, Peggy Gou, DJ Boring, Ben UFO, Modeselektor, Sally C, Éclair Fifi, Mella Dee and our very own Eats Everything.

Jaden Thompson is one of house music's freshest new talents and here he links with Solo Tamas, using his contemporary voice of house music, for an essential and electric new single that features remixes from Marquis Hawkes and Jaden himself. 

With leaders of the scene like Seth Troxler and The Martinez Brothers among Thomspon's biggest fans to date, he recently debuted on Cuttin Headz and has just been announced as the newest fabric resident, only days after he had turned 20! Here he works with Dutchman Solo Tamas, a DJ, producer and vocalist with ties to Moon Harbour, Repopulate Mars and Elrow. He has made a big impression on the track with his colourful sound and out of the box approach. 

Control Freak is a high powered banger with top synths and pads, freaky vocals and irresistible drum programming that hammers along and takes you with it. Those vocals really make the track standout - delivered with an aloof sense of cool they build the pressure and add to the creeping intensity of this late night anthem.

Aus Music artist Marquis Hawkes brings plenty of his old school values and raw Chicago edge to his ghetto tinged remix and then Jaden reworks it into an even more uptempo, high pressure track with slick bass, mad synths and loopy vocal stabs to send the club wild. 

This is a killer new EP from the vital pairing of Jaden Thompson and Solo Tamas.
