My biggest struggle as a producer has always been trying to accurately capture the concept / ideas that I hear in my head.
Learning more and more about orchestral arrangements and programming in a DAW sense, has allowed me to ever get closer. 
I decided to rearrange this piece as I have always felt that years ago when I had originally composed this, I lacked the musical maturity, technical expertise (mastering / mixing) or virtual instruments to capture accurately what I was hearing in my head.

Hey guys, so I've been inactive for the past couple of months partially due to the fact that I was exploring a new sound as well as the usual polarity of crippling self doubt as an artist :) But I'm finally back with a new flip of @dvsndvsn too deep. I loved the original and so I tried to keep the integrity of track, while making it a bit more dance-y.

I admire the vision behind H.E.R of putting the music first by creating an alias which uses anonymity and eliminates the bias of first impression by not having the artist's face centred as the brand. Though this approach does have it's flaws. 

A lack of personability through the detachment of association with a person's identity (their face) and potentially a sense of hostility through the misinterpretation of the brand from listeners could arise. 
Hostility could come from a sense of duplicity as if the artist was hiding from the listener, potentially causing the listener to interpret the artist as another gimmick as it eliminates the onus of personal reliability between the consumer and the artist. 

This resonates with me both ways, as I believe that the music should always come first, but at the same time, with the accelerant of technology and social media, it seems that people don't have the time to sift through every bit of information, or in this case every song posted online; we, as creators and artists, have no choice but to play the game of business, to catch the attention of as many people as possible through branding aesthetic.

But it also should be said that there are still people out there who appreciate the music for what it is and are willing to put the effort into finding great music since they appreciate the effort put behind every song made.

So my goal for this year is to find that pocket of people to fit into the hvdson family - no matter how big or how small that it will end up being :)

But nothing great was ever built alone.

And that can only be possible through you guys helping me every step of the way by sharing this with as many people as possible - and who knows maybe we can get this track to @iamhermusic!!
