Das zweite Release des noch jungen Labels @delightsearthly steht in den Startlöchern. Um kulturelle und vielfältige Musik zu veröffentlichen, haben sich die Macher für eine EP des Kanadiers @kora-musique, der bereits auf Kindisch publizierte, entschieden. Am 16. Januar 2017 soll seine Deep-House-Kollektion „Fragile“ in digitaler Version erscheinen. Gleich der Opener der EP, „Vayu“, ist ein wunderschön strukturiertes Werk geworden, das von einer melodischen Wärme überschwemmt wird. Kora zeigt mit der Produktion eine gewisse Leichtigkeit und eine zarte Annäherung an Drums, während arabischer Gesang die Nummer abrundet. (...) Ein Remix kommt von @timur-sardarov alias Timujin. PREMIERE: Zakir - Ruhi (Just Emma Remix)  [Sol Selectas] 

The Sol Selectas family expands to Moscow Russia, with a debut EP from Zakir. 
The titles "Ruhi" and  "Meree Aatma" translate to the same meaning: "my Soul". These words are also terms of endearment for a person's lover, and Zakir tells the story of two Oriental love stories.  "Ruhi" is an Arabian tale with a magical oud, while  "Meree Aatma"  is an Indian romance with an enchanting flute.  The live instrumentation  blends beautifully with warm bass and arpeggios for an irrisistable groove. For the remix,  Just Emma from Under Your Skin Records, strips down the original "Ruhi", creating a deeper slow track of beautiful Arabesque techno. Sol Selectas label head Sabo transforms "Meree Aatma" into a percussive workout with lush strings and sitar for serious dance floor momentum.

Be Svendsen gets set to release the enchanting Twilight in Tankwa on Rebellion following his successful remix of NU’s Man O To on sister label Crosstown Rebels. Remix treatment comes courtesy of Berlin native Nico Stojan. 
 
Twilight in Tankwa is a mystical and musical journey that Be Svendsen explains “is the result of decades long intimate relationship with outdoor rhythmic dance experience. The foundation of the track is rooted in a synth hook from the early 50's. The vocal, inspired by a barbershop quartet, work to give it the character of a true desert hymn."
 
The remix comes from Nico Stojan who twists a fresh melody into the original over driving undertones. Having honed his musical style as resident at the infamous Bar25 in Berlin, he has also released on labels like Highgrade, Connaisseur and Upon You records.
 
Equally alluring, second original track Scarecrow was brought about by AYAWAKE who wrote and recorded the vocals. He generously passed on to Be who honored it as the crown work of his cowboy-tech-tribute to the Ennio Morricone soundtracks of the late 60's. 
Be Svendsen aka Lasse Bruhn Svendsen broke through into the international scene in 2014 with a series of productions and enchanting live performances at some of the most avant garde places to play on the earth, such as BOOM festival, Fusion, Burning Man, Symbiosis, Rainbow Serpent and AfrikaBurn.

           With ’Witness Happiness’ the musician explores the melancholic territories creating a deep and evocative vibe. Rhythmic hooks mixed with dissipating vocal chops, smooth rolling groove and gentle chimes, they conjure up images and trigger memories. Enigmatic soundscape to get lost to some time late at night.
            The second selection ‘The Moon And The Stars’ comes in lighter, quirkier and more melodic, with skippy beats, playful blips and swirling synths. Something different yet familiar at the same time. This one won’t take long to grab a hold of you.
           The EP concludes with ‘Abandon Hope‘, another darker and heavier piece that complements the other two quite nicely. Ominous motifs, pulsating kicks, deep, bumping bass lines - its driving groove is undeniably hypnotic. Press play and you´ll see.

So Antrea is a great name for an EP that sounds as huge and epic as if it really was the soundtrack for this kind of Sci-Fi movie.
