"Echoes of Infinity" would begin with a gentle yet deep kick beat, setting a pulsating rhythm that evokes a sense of constant motion. Dub elements would gradually emerge, with delay and reverb effects adding layers of depth to the track. An underwater bassline would come into play, providing a solid foundation for the music's progression.
As the track unfolds, ethereal synthesizers and atmospheric pads would be introduced, creating a spatial and immersive sonic landscape. Percussive elements would be subtle, with spaced-out claps and dub percussion effects contributing to the track's hypnotic groove.
The "echoes" would be a prominent element, with sounds dissipating and reflecting throughout the music, creating a sense of vastness and expansion. The overall mood would be one of contemplation and introspection, while the dub techno elements lead the listener on a sonic journey through deep and immersive soundscapes.

Echoes Of Infinity

This album started out as a spiritual successor of "Tracing Rays" (Wil-Ru Records, 2013), an album that was constructed using meticulous sound design and processing. A similar approach was used for "Aˈkʷaː.ti.kus", but limited to one piece of equipment: a Nord Wave 2 performance synthesizer, processed with my digital audio workstation of choice, Renoise.

The track titles are in line with the aquatic album title, each of them representing a different zone in the ocean, in order of depth.

As the chords gently ripple through each track, the rhythms shift between various forms, deviating more often than not from traditional technoid drum patterns.

Midnight Waves

As two-man legion from Kolkata, India, Soumajit and Aneesh joined forces in establishing Hybrid Protokol in 2015. Progressive electronica blended with breaks, acid and techno has become their main speciality over the years.
 
Inspired by 80s & 90s electronic acts, including the likes of Junkie XL, Chemical Brothers or Underworld, as well as modern acts including Nina Kraviz, Paul Rose aka. Scuba or Mastin Stimming, their productions stigmatize aggressive​ ​bass lines, funky breaks, and melodic arpeggiations. 
 
In addition to leveraging field recordings and ambient soundscapes within their primarily analog studio setting, the boys also perform live using an array of synthesizers, drum machines, and samplers. Aneesh’s feel for the manipulation of Soumajit’s distinct sounds has led to a unique mix of skills responsible for the punchy, dynamic sounds HP is known for today.
 
During live performances, the duo leverages its passion for, and power over music technology to generate a reverb of infectious energy, indulging the crowds to fully immerse into the music. 
 
In 2016, Hybrid Protokol was nominated as “Best Newcomer Electronica Artist in India” by the Radiocity Freedom Awards.
