Although relatively new to the scene, Birmingham duo, Hybrid Theory, have shown no let-up of their pursuit to put out on-point, club devastating sonics. Their latest two track drop, 'The Experiment', is a prime example of their bubblin' up sound; heavy, bass laden breaks threaded around dubby undertows and clever production... perfect to work the rig.

Flava D finds herself in a unique position in 2015. As a producer she is at the intersection of UK House, Garage and Grime, working with labels like Butterz, Formula and Local Action. She has risen to prominence with legendary cosigns from the Kings of Garage and Grime respectively in DJ EZ and Wiley, playing alongside EZ and producing regularly for MC heavyweights.

Well what a combination we have here, as we invite the legendary pairing of Vital Techniques and General Levy back to Four40 on remix duty, as the team return alongside some ferocious reworks and a bag of top notch guests for one our favourite ever producer-vocalist link ups.

First of all, we jump into the official vocal remix, for which we invite a host of the country’s highest ranking vocalists to get involved, including Dread MC, Devilman & Killa P, who all supply some major heat with their high energy appearances, chopping and changing rapid fire flows. 

We are also lucky enough to grab a pair of very exciting remixes, as we first invite the ever-evolving sounds of 9TRANE jump into remix mode, refitting the grimey original with a set of heavy, darkened techy bass themes, followed up by DeadbeatUK’s super wonky bassline refurbishment. What a selection!

Hybrid Theory are a DJ and Production duo from the cultural hub of the midlands, Birmingham. They have been blazing the UK Bass scene in style since they started now infamous Four40 imprint in 2010.

These guys have taken the UKBass scene by storm with their duty ghost warps, snappy saw’s and the heavy broken beat patten is the winning combination for these guys.

For the Hybrid boys appearances on Diplo's Mad Decent and Norman Cook's Southern Fried Records followed cementing their foothold in the scene as tastemakers in high demand. The guys were most notable so far seeing the release of their much anticipated EP on Champion's genre-bending Formula Records. In 2015 brand new releases will drop first on Jakwob's Boomting Recordings, These guys have a foothold in the music seen now collaborating with some of the top artists in the world. The collaboration with Stanton Warriors had a huge effect on the American breaks music scene, witch lead the guy’s to a 5 state American tour from LA to New York. Not to mention traveling across Europe, to destinations like Germany, Sweeden, Amsterdam, Belguim, Italy, plus many more.

If this kind of output wasn't enough Hybrid have been working tirelessly on preparations for a host of Guest-mixes for BBC Radio 1 and 1xtra following enthusiastic support on the BBC, RINSE FM and KISS, from the likes of Monki, DJ Target, MistaJam, Sian Anderson, Annie Nightingale, TODDLA-T and more (Not to mention other scene heavyweights like DIPLO, ETON MESSY, DJ EZ and ONEMAN)
