JHL is a vocalist, producer, and sound magician based in Auckland, New Zealand. 
Having been initially inspired by the music of electronic / avant garden legends Björk and Sophie, JHL’s music is deeply inspired by everything from the weird world of electronica to composers Luciano Berio and Kate Soper. Their work finds space at the intersection of whimsy, grief, and rage, creating sound-worlds that are both healing and turbulent in form. JHL’s discography spans across the electronic underground, being found everywhere from Hyde Park HiFi’s #harddancesummer compilation to cash’s album “heal process”, alongside an extensive library of individual releases and work (including albums like Concertina and Swansong.) JHL has also created work alongside experimental artists such as Raiika, Myen, Blood Of Aza, Alparr and more.

For this mix, JHL has composed a mix of almost exclusively their own work (alongside a couple of influences), walking you through their discography in a blistering fashion. Enrapturing in form and sound, this one is not to be missed.
