This piece was born from my participation in a study conducted by my friend, Emmanuel, for his thesis. The study focused on understanding how movement-evoked pain influences the brain and muscle activity during movement. Throughout the experiment, a sharp probe pierced through my arm while electrical impulses were monitored and recorded, creating unsettling sounds from the equipment. I later mangled the recording. The result is a 9-minute piece that channels both the physical sensations of pain and the emotional landscape of grief.
