A dozen ambient magi gathered around the hearth of ritual electronics to compose laudatory odes to the spirits of nature. Elemental spellcasters hold a council by the magical bed, exuding vociferous reflections of inaccessible rocks, swirling rivers and dense forests.

The wild entablature of echo forms, untouched by the human hand, is fixed on a skeleton of complex sound resonances, wandering ethereal fields and random spatial vibrations. Multiphase contemplation is entangled in the veins of rare acoustic phenomena and dissipating disorienting energy.

The first collection of the Echoshapes label accepts earthly gifts and draws an ornament of intricate auditory stimulations.

Markus Masuhr - Varberg

This year irrepressible Italian born electronic producer Roberto Bosco returns with a new EP via his own imprint Last Drop Records, recently founded alongside with his partner in crime Kiny. This EP, that features four tracks, begins in media res with Sonorous Waves Part 1. An ambient intro track that creates the conditions for a mystic and celestial environment that pervades the whole release. Towards the end of the track a psychedelic reflection reshapes the sound: it is the light that filters, crystal clear and bright. The other track on the same side, Part 2, is more dancefloor oriented with a 4/4 beat and multi-layered structure made of typical industrial and techno sonorities. It's evident that they include Roberto Bosco's legacy: stormy emotions but with deep and melodic sound lines. Part 3 is another intro track, starting with spectral sounds that carefully develop into a full sci-fi ambience. Then, finally, part 4 arises with obscure and hypnotics sounds that match very slowly a more perpetual and gentle 4/4 that ends with ups and downs and a syncopated bass.

Zurich veteran Idealist delivers the 'Source' EP for Copenhagen’s Echocord in what is his debut on the renowned imprint. The release features three originals cuts as it follows previous releases on the likes of Pro-Tez, Lackrec and Berg Audio for the Swiss producer. You can catch the lead track in full premiere via When We Dip today. 'Flow' is dub techno delight, a punchy production coated in a beautifully textured manner.
