Heart Of Glass

Commissioned by Katie German and the Pottstown Middle School Band. This Grade 1.5 Flex Band work by Ben Hylton is inspired by that holiday tune we all know and love (or hate) Sleigh Ride by Leroy Anderson. Ben has re-created the sleigh ride feeling but this time in a dark, eccentric, cold and icy white-knuckle gallop. A fully produced cinematic backing track helps bring this piece to life in concert while inspiring students with a modern aesthetic.

Cinematic backing tracks are included at different tempi so that your students can practice along for more fun and even record themselves along with the track for video assignments or projects.
