He also worked as an arranger and session leader for the legendary Bill Withers at Columbia Records. These high-level collaborations reflect his versatility, leadership, and long-standing presence in the music industry.

Crawford is a Voting Member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, a composer affiliated with Broadcast Music Incorporated (BMI), and a member of the American Federation of Musicians, Local 47.
