Black Barrel began his journey under the banners of Dispatch, with his first album on the label a defining part of his rise as an artist. The Russian native has since proven his weight. And following a host of Eps and his debut album ‘Last Frontier’ in 2018, he’s now firmly established himself from newcomer to a frequent part of set lists across the drum & bass genre.

The album entitled ‘Just Keep My Life’ which is due to drop this September from Black Barrel sees him grow his production repertoire and dip into uncharted territories, proving that he’s not yet finished evolving his artistry.

This two track sampler features the breaks heavy ‘Bad Trip’ and the sampler exclusive track ‘I love You’ setting the tone for the forthcoming album - one which will stand as another rung in the ladder towards the producers rise as a face renowned worldwide within drum & bass.

Springing into the Dispatch inbox at the start of 2016, UK export Arkaik delivered quite possibly his best music to date; fine-tuned from his lab in Shanghai, the ‘Shapes EP’ was confirmed for release almost instantly after the 4 individual track demos were first listened to. 

A long standing label supporter, emerging from our ‘10 Years’ milestone, Arkaik’s impeccable production skill has never been underestimated; his 2011 debut vinyl release earned by winning Octane & DLR’s sample pack competition. 

This debut EP from him, however, demonstrates an incredible development in the maturity of his sound, with infectious, natural grooves remaining prevalent amongst technical meridians, as Arkaik brings us a quintessential cut of Dispatch tech funk.  

Seriously raising the bar, the EP is rife with memorable features; including title track ‘Shapes’ with ultra-talented Dutch prodigy Signal, the distinctive bass stabs of razor sharp ‘Chu Kou’, neck snapping roller ‘Steve’ and glitch ridden ‘No Playing’ - we proudly welcome Arkaik back to Dispatch with a stellar EP.

Delta9 Recordings presents “From The Streets Vol. 4”, the fourth chapter of a Various Artists project showcasing a variety of drum and bass styles and paying homage to the Drum&Bass sounds that Delta9’s crew grew up with since their early days promoting parties over 15 years ago until now.

Delta9 Recordings has a scope which stretches throughout the most creative parts of the world, places which are renowned as a hotbed for music, as well as a breeding ground for artists. From Berlin, Germany to Bergamo, Italy, the label has built itself on top of these two cities, bringing forward artists from the continent’s furthest reaches and pushing them onto the pedestal provided for them by the label. Delta9 Recordings focuses on mainly the dark, minimalistic sounds of drum & bass and this is something which is highlighted throughout their slowly growing back catalogue of music.

On this fourth instalment listeners will be completely wrapped by the loads of bass coming from these incredible deep bangers, spacing from futuristic vibes, to the classic dirty rollers and ending with the hard rollers!
