[Behind The Track]

Welcome to the sixtieth release of Launch Records. This time we have an EP by Feylo, called ‘Tunnetama’. The EP contains 2 tracks called ‘Tunnetama’ and ‘Body’.

The song Tunnetama starts immediately with a kick and drum loop. Then a chord play is added in the background. Then another drum loop is added a different rhythm as the beginning drum loop. More and more layers are being added, so after a while, a third drum layer is added guided by a melody. After a while, the background chords get the main attention. At this point, a fourth drum layer is added. After this, a vocal is being added followed by the chords which are in the background again and the drum loop. This is the build-up in the track.

When the drop hits the track is transforming into a more powerful chill track. Hereby the main attention is on the chords. At the end of each chord, a melody play is added. This combination gives a really cool and chill vibe to the track. To give more power to the drop some background chords are added together with a drum loop. The background chords are a little bit off-key wish gives real originality to the track.

Inside this EP you hear just a few instruments that are used in both tracks. In this way, you really hear the beauty of all instruments. Hereby all sounds which are used are self-designed. All these aspects which are used in the tracks make the track a real Launch release.

[Behind The Track]

Welcome to the sixtieth-fourth release of Launch Records. This time we have a new track by Nash Hawkins, called ‘Waiting For You’. 

The song starts immediately with a baseline and some atmospheric sounds. Hereby added is the first part of the melody at each start of the eight chords. After a while, the baseline and atmospheric sounds disappear. Instead of these layers, a melody line and piano chords are added.  The piano chords keep the same chord progression as the baseline at the beginning. The melody follows the chord progression. On top of that, a drum loop with a clap is added. As soon as the melody disappears, the drum loop gets an uplifting rhythm. At this moment the build-up starts.

When the drop hits, the track is transforming into a powerful house track with some slightly deep house elements in it. In this drop, you hear the same melody which was used at the beginning of the track but now it has a second more deep melody line beneath it. To give more body to the drop, a deep baseline is added in the background which has a slightly different rhythm as the melody line. To give more atmosphere to the drop a drum is added in the background as well. Hereby all sounds which are used are self-designed.

All these aspects which are used in the track make the track a real Launch release. We are very happy to have a release with Nash Hawkins who has developed a really unique vibe in his tracks. This track is a perfect way to start 2021!
