Deep Echoes

First off the EP, we have my take on hybrid trap: the title track, Labyrinth. I decided to take my style of future riddim and merge it with the sound and structure commonly found in hybrid trap songs, and I’d say that it turned out pretty well considering how out of my comfort zone it is. This has my most complicated sound design to date, and it shows. I completely understand how some people might find this annoying to listen to if you don’t enjoy higher frequencies on the spectrum, but personally, I’m really proud of it.

Labyrinth

Oblivion is a song that is quite out of my comfort zone. I went for the simple style of trench sometimes found on Disciple’s releases, and I’m really happy with how intimidating this song sounds. It falls on the shorter side, but I think it still has a complete enough structure to have a solid progression. The main things I did to create tension were: creating minimalistic drops focused on the lead bass, including a lot of low-end elements like the piano keys found in the non-drop sections, and adding a heartbeat sound effect right after the first drop. Overall, I think I pushed Oblivion to the highest quality that I could.
