Palmtrees & Flamingos is a side project from Monotype with a sound defined by powerful drums and driving synths, heavily influenced by New Wave, EBM and the Italo Disco sounds of the 80´s. His sets are characterized by cosmic sounds reminiscent of a car ride in a cabrio under the palm trees towards the sun.
Formed in 2023, Palmtrees & Flamingos is also a part of the We Art Together family and performs Live and DJ sets.

His musical path began in the 90s, sharing booths with artists like Vitalic, Miss Kittin and Electric Indigo. These days, he plays with no agenda – just to share his idea of a coherent, evolving DJ set.

We love his wide-ranging taste and sense for narrative.

Fifth edition of the unframed cast. This time with Hamburg based @sebastianstrootmann – gently shifting between different house genres, from darker shades to brighter grooves, always with a steady pulse underneath.

Driven by a love for storytelling through rhythm, Seb has shaped sonic journeys as part of the DJ collective @clubberware, performing at well-known clubs and venues in Leipzig, Osnabrück and Hamburg. His sets have also resonated across borders – from underground raves and open airs in Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Czech Republic, the US, and Cape Verde.
