Jamz Supernova's label Future Bounce this year turns it's hand to the club, with a year long series of club releases which will culminate in a compilation! 

The fifth release comes from London’s LR Groove. A legend in the UK Funky scene and now firmly at the forefront of producers inspired by sounds coming out of South Africa such as Gqom. Jamz fell in love with his Afro drum programming & unique basslines. A particular record that made her a fan was “Device” which was a mainstay in her DJ sets the summer of 2018 shelling festivals from Sonar to Boardmasters. 

The A side of this release “Fak’ uSos” featuring South African artist Toya Delazy was born out of an idea that Jamz had to connect two worlds. With LR Groove honing his UK Gqom inspired sound, Jamz thought it would be a perfect moment to connect the UK interpretation back to the source, and with the help of Toya Delazy add the authenticity and further strengthen the relationship that the UK has with South African club music. The B side “Format" is LR Groove at his finest a bass heavy roller that all DJ’s need in their sets.

LR Groove is a master of energy and rhythm: a Tribal Brother who’s been at the cutting edge of London’s soundsystem culture since he first touched a turntable in the mid-90s. With years of experience at his fingertips, he’s now making some of his best tracks yet, launching the skittering heartbeat of UK funky into the future on labels like Nervous Horizon and his own Renk Groove Recordings. With London dancefloors still a global junction for fresh sounds, LR Groove is one step ahead already – absorbing Gqom, dancehall, footwork and a whole universe of limb-shaking percussion into his singular style.
