New single from @moapillar and @uzhok sees the pair step aside from the mutant trance of their hit “Volvo” and its successor “Zmeya”. Please meet “Gasolina”, a down and dirty Russian take on baile funk that comes with three wild remixes. The sound the duo are channeling is faux-exotic, well-made, playful and full of love: the massive carioca rhythm of the original is accompanied by Ushko’s one-in-a-million-type vocal and cumbia sonidera accordions. This will for sure surprise some fans, weird as fuck and all the better for it.

BOGUE is a new alter-ego of Ilya Arkhipov, previously known as the guy behind Vagina Vangi & Haárps. A debut single “Gelsemium Elegans” takes off the experience of his earlier witchhouse works merging the true Russian darkness with otherworldly drones, amorphous vocal cuts & synth chops.
Ilya describes BOGUE as a spin-off to Vagina Vangi as if it never broke up & kept on adsorbing the zeitgeist. Along with witchhouse signature sounds there’s also a huge influence of bass music, cyber grime & dungeon synth.
“BOGUE” is a cheeky interpretation of Russian word “bog” (god) that looks a lot like VOGUE Magazine. At the same time the spirit of these vibes neither satanic nor blasphemous. More likely, BOGUE is about futuristic anti-utopian vibes from barely existing universes. Still dark, edgy & experimental.
