"Atari Overdrive“, the latest LP from audiovisual auteur Max Dahlhaus, deepens and expands its predecessor's musical universe, as it was created not only to be played in a club, but also as the imaginative soundtrack to a haunting story set in the not too distant future. Every single one of the 9 tracks is splurging its individual features and one-of-a-kind undertones, still all of them show some kind of disposedness to drama, paired with flickers of irony. The songs build up diverse chapters of the tale one by one, but when listened to as a whole, expand their full potential to get under anybody’s skin. Unpredictable breaks in the arrangement will allow your mind to jump to a range of different scenarios, banning any kind of tristesse in spite of the rather dark undertone of the album.

Carried by their multifaceted sound patterns, the 9 tracks of „Atari Overdrive“ are on peculiar journeys. The audience is free to decide if they want to watch those wanderings, or if they allow themselves to fall into that electric haze and become part of the adventure.

What follows are weeks of asking questions, forming opinions, trying to find the rebels once again. The song’s unsettling speed mirrors AO’s inner conflict while it is fighting other cyborgs: Why are they killing each other? Are they so different? 

Word is the answer floats in Hyperspace. And just like that, AO knows where to go, its destination being that dingy drinking hole with the linking pot in its rotten basement.

City High Fantasy is a remote collaboration of two prolific and distinct electronic musicians, both alumni of Dream Catalogue label, which released Pixelord’s third album Hypnorave in 2018, and several albums by ambient/experimental musician Sangam from Manchester, UK in the past four years.

The musical journey goes from a highly energetic, dark synth rhythm’n’rave with complex beat structures, further drifting the listener towards melancholic, abstract ambient soundscapes, stretched and frozen in time, with barely noticeable and slowly pulsating beat buried underneath ethereal melodies and hypnagogic synth pads, and back to more energetic percussions and beats. Timeless and timely, an exploration of inner freedom and the intricate ways two creative personalities find to co-exist in the unique, newly created sound universe.

This EP provides a peculiar introspective in the joint creative process of two distinct, self-sufficient artists. Both Pixelord and Sangam have a highly recognisable artistic ‘signature,’ they speak in very different, original musical languages. Somehow, these two private, individualistic, subjective inner creativities found a way to work together, to populate each other’s musical worlds with new sound entities, bringing their own different atmospheres, speaking all new tongues, amalgamating alien concepts and approaches together.

While being isolated we try to find inspiration in current surroundings and situations, limited in capacity yet strangely living almost entirely online social life. Something we thought and talked about since forever, not being aware of how it will turn out.

Kharkiv based producer Monotronique represented minimalistic electronic sound from dancefloor stuff to ambience aesthetics. He released albums on labels like Opal Tapes (UK), Hyperboloid (RU), VAAGNER/VAKNAR (DE) and many more.

This album was made in 2016. It’s focused on minimalistic ambient vibes which resonate with the Japanese school of sound. The idea of this album is following the concept of belief. Belief in a new day, new sunrise, new beginning, which is associated with early morning music.

This release is perfect for listening alone, when you’re falling.
