traverse is proud to announce the release of its first record - a compilation of six tracks from various artists, inspired by Pembroke King’s poem moving silhouettes, written for this occasion.

As the fourth volume of the compilation series “traversée”, moving silhouettes encourages artists to explore all corners of listening music and creative avenues that aren’t tied to any one convention. 

Pembroke King’s poem sheds light on the mood of the compilation, and even though each artist brings its own interpretation of it, there is a beautiful harmony of it all - from Kate Miller’s atmospheric sounds to Teqmun’s drums-made-of-rain-drop-recordings or Ghjuliú’s nostalgic melodies, the listener travels around Pembroke’s words with each track. 

As our first physical release, we feel honoured to collaborate with artists who have been involved in a way or another on traverse before such as Officium, Mika Oki and Alohn, but Kate Miller, Teqmun, and Ghjuliú, that we’ve been keeping close to our heart for a long time already.

Mumbai-based producer Chrms lands back on Hypercolour with new single ‘Circles’, a contemporary cut of vibrant, left-field club sounds.

Born out of the Indian electronic underground, Chrms made his Hypercolour debut with 2024’s ‘PILOT’ EP, and has performed at some of India’s most celebrated festivals such as Magnetic Fields, Echoes Of Earth & Terminal 1, sharing the stage with the likes of revered producers such as Mura Masa, Sinjin Hawke, Zora Jones & DJ Stingray.

‘Circles’ aims firmly for the club, stacked with shimmering synths, IDM-esque skittering drum patterns and vocal chops which give way into a throng of chest rattling bass-weight.

Amsterdam-based artist and Garage Noord programmer Zohar shares an hour of dense, sculpted sound - drawing from her roots in dub and drum & bass, filtered through noise, distortion and live improvisation.

"8-BIT HORROR" is an album I started working on months ago. I wanted to mesh my different musical styles in to one, big album that could showcase the Retro, 8-Bit sound all while giving it a newer and more Modern vibe. I also wanted to strongly emphasize Atmospherics and Ambience as this was intended to be a mesh a multiple genres. Some Phonk elements incorporated into the newer Electronic sounds we so often hear now. Anyways. As always. Thank you all for the support! Its crazy to think I've been making music for almost 10 years now!! I know this album wont please everyone, but i still hope yall listen and enjoy it!
