Barcelona based Annie Hall drops her debut EP on 20/20 Vision ‘Maruxaina’, following releases on D1, Detroit Underground, Semantica, CPU and most recently our Exit Planet Earth vinyl series. Annie’s eclectic and uniquely expressive output has seen her serve up tracks that take you straight to the dance floor, alongside complex and inventive musical soundscapes.

Kicking things off on the A side the title track ‘Maruxaina’ draws you in with nostalgic breaks and bass trudges, complimented by warm echoed chords and hypnotic tones. Next up on the A side ‘Meiga’ serves up a driving groove with deep rolling drums and patterned glitches, intertwining uplifting chord progressions and a soothing vocal, forming a uniquely mesmerising electronic soundscape. 

‘Brétema’ opens up the B side with a space bound atmospheric gem, grounded by a solid break groove yet elevated with cinematographic synths and harmonic melodies. Wrapping up the EP ‘Sarabia’ provides an unapologetic experimental expression that blurs the boundaries of genre, with off kilter pads, deep kicks and edgy glass synths creating a beautifully obscure serenity.

Veteran German DJ & producer, Holger Zilske, returns to Hypercolour with a new single, ‘Something Unreal’.

Having released on the label back in February, the mainstay on the legendary Playhouse label (as well as outings over the years on Acid Test, Diynamic and AEONIC) serves up two illuminating cuts.

‘Something Unreal’ couples a familiar vocal hook with a raw and deep electro workout, whilst ‘Data’ bears some giddy and esoteric vibes, laced with bubbling acid and machine-made vocal refrains.

The second outing from New York-based vinyl-only label Deep Sleep Robot is a various artists EP featuring four exclusive timeless tracks from artists around the globe that were produced in-between the years 1998 and 2003. The A2, Takemountain, comes from Swedish producer Johan Svensson alias Johan Bacto, who delivers a spaced-out track with  deep pads appearing left and right, top to bottom absorbing the listener into its own cosmos and capturing them in that "bubble" for as long as the track lasts. 

Deep Sleep Robot's second EP is released on July 22nd, 2022.

Поели - is an experimental duo of two producers and DJs Sergey Kishkin and Ilya Kasharakov, organized in 2020 during a series of friendly jam sessions.
It's quite difficult to describe the duo's style in two words: somewhere we can hear rather classical shades of house, some works are performed in downtempo style, in other works you can hear beats in footwork style. Despite the multi-genre character, travelling through the duo's compositions, the integrity of the sound and recognizable style is easily traceable. Live guitar is always used in their live performances, and other musicians - bass guitarists and drummers - are also invited when writing the album "Альбом".

В лайвах "Поели" всегда используется живая гитара, а при написание альбома "Поели" приглашают и других музыкантов - басс гитаристов и барабанщиков.

Forceful grooves and trippy soundscapes here – business as usual for Junes, whose latest EP adds to a string of releases getting bagged by those looking to work the floor with tight and atmospheric rhythms. The Galdoors man's flair for unexpected combos is on parade in Circuit Rift, where a UK-style low end is flung into the mix with rough drums and 4am melodics. There's a funkier bassline and rolling groove at work in Awake, this time with rich layers of pads and blips. Brass Hand uses a different palette – a sparkling, loopy riff and crisp drums – though it's still signature Junes.
