Alan Fitzpatrick and Rebuke team up for ‘Nice & Cool Trigga’, backed with a remix from Big Miz. 

Previously collaborating on 2020’s ‘Ultimate Distortion’, We Are The Brave label-boss Alan Fitzpatrick and Drumcode, Hot Creations, and Dirtybird star Rebūke join forces once again, this time for Patrick Topping’s Trick imprint. Recruiting Big Miz (Dixon Avenue Basement Jams, Shall Not Fade) on remix duties, the result is a pair of no-holds-barred floor fillers destined for dancefloor mania. 

The original mix of ‘Nice & Cool Trigga’ sees pounding kicks and breakbeats wrestle with euphoric rave pads, forming an anthemic and heaving track. Big Miz’s remix sees the Glaswegian DJ/producer inject his signature club-friendly energy, twisting elements of the original into a rowdy, hands-in-the-air affair.

Hot Creations favourite and Paradise resident Patrick Topping is back onboard the seminal imprint with the hotly anticipated, two track release, Be Sharp Say Nowt.

Road tested on the world’s biggest stages and at the most notorious parties, title track Be Sharp Say Nowt encapsulates Patrick’s signature sound and has proven to be his biggest track of the year. “The gospel vocal from LaShun Pace is amazing!” says Patrick, “I'm so happy to have it finally come out on Hot Creations”. On the flip, Track Change offers a contrast and a slightly different side to Patrick’s sound.

Spearheading the new wave of electronic music producers coming from the North of England, Patrick Topping has made a name as a prolific producer, securing seven different Beatport number 1s since his debut release in 2013. His accolades also count two DJ Awards for Best Newcomer and Track Of The Season for Forget, as well as DJ Mag’s Best Tune in their Best of British Awards. Swedish producer Tiger Stripes, the alias of Mikael Nordgren, brings his techno touch to Hot Creations for his debut EP on the label this summer. Jack My Yum is a heavyweight three-parter that sees the Swede invite Hot Creations stable mate, Matt Tolfrey, to provide a stellar remix.

Opening track Jack My Yum is a warped and heavy roller with a smattering of dark vocals. Haunted brings with it a bass that you can feel reverberating off the concrete walls of a darkened club, interspersed with an eerie melody. Following his recent release Americas on the label, Leftroom Records boss Matt Tolfrey brings his groove and a bouncier bassline to proceedings with his version of the title track. Dunjacka completes the EP, with Nordgren sewing together a techno beat with broken vocal stabs, underpinned by a throbbing groove throughout.

Tiger Stripes has collaborated with legendary names such as Kerri Chandler, Adeva, Leroy Burgess, Riva Starr and Jerome Sydenham, with his brand of deep and futuristic techno seeing releases on some of the underground’s biggest imprints including Desolat, Drumcode and Cajual.
