With this, your brain is constantly looking to recognize some finite simple groups of layered sounds. And goes perpetually In & Out from the baseline. Symmetrical movements, sound design inspired and based on a logic explained by the Sylow theorems. A very smoothly built-in flow. 

Please note: In this remastered version, the emphasis is on uncovering grooves that were obscured by the layered mixing, while also introducing additional warmth with an analogue tube vibe.

When Sven and I stepped into the Verrückt Hoch Zwei recording studio, the place buzzed with creative vibes. Sven was in the control room, fine-tuning the sound levels with great care, while I was lost in my world on the drum kit, crafting rhythms that filled the space with energy.

Every time we were about to add a new layer, Sven would excitedly share his thoughts, his enthusiasm palpable. Once everything was set, we hit the record button, capturing the raw, real-time magic of our collaboration.

As I played my beats, Sven skillfully operated the recording gear, making sure each sound was perfectly captured. The studio came alive with our creativity.

After each session, we assigned different recorded elements to specific pads, turning them into catchy loops that added new dimensions to our track. I remember placing the bass line on the outer edge of the floor tom, breathing new life into our arrangement with a pre-recorded sample.

Time slipped away as we meticulously honed each layer and loop. It was a labor of love; despite the hurdles we faced, we were determined to create something special.

In the end, though our recordings didn’t find their way to an audience, I couldn’t let our work fade into the background. Instead, I chose to release it to the world, allowing it to resonate with listeners everywhere.

Looking back at our time in the studio, I treasure the effort and artistry we poured into our project. It was a memorable experience that deeply impacted us both, and I’m excited to share our music widely.

Behind the track, I played the beat "Rise," while Sven saved it as Storm Drum: Rise. This title reflects our creative journey, serving as a reminder that our music can touch hearts and leave a lasting mark on anyone who hears it.
