Riding slow and low from Atlanta, Georgia, the stalwart producer Joshua Bell currently rests at the crest of an 11-year production career with a burgeoning new project, known as Sheesh. With a background in classical piano that underpins his musicianship, he’s made ground on the edges of experimental bass music and its various stylistic tendrils with his own particular gait. For the 77th Rust Music release, we’re excited to host and present his most recent EP, Subconscious.

Through four tracks of low-slung frequencies and rolling, syncopated drum lines, Sheesh ties together mean, razor-edged synthesis, effusive piano melodies, and hefty rhythmic swagger. Switching between driving percussive dashes and laid-back, groovy overtures, the Subconscious EP is a distinctly palatable entry to the Sheesh catalog. For fans and appreciators of refined sound design and tightly wound songwriting fundamentals, make sure to check out this latest addition to the Rust’s family of releases on all major listening platforms.

This series is back to fulfill its founding mission: unite emerging and establish Gravitas artists in a diverse, cohesive release.  This compilation series has had a legendary tale, featuring huge artists over the years including CloZee, Of The Trees, Lil Fish, Perkulat0r, Dorfex Bros, Mr. Bill, Esseks, Duffrey and so many more.  Every version builds a beautiful journey through electronic music, weaving between genres and styles to create something special.  Virtus is an Ancient Roman virtue that represents excellence; Sonus is Latin for noise and is the root word for sound.  Through our philosophy that vanity metrics are irrelevant to explore intelligent, excellent electronic music, Virtus in Sonus VI strives to express integrity and meaning. True to its name, listeners will be exposed to a diverse compilation of 15 tracks that explores everything between thoughtful, emotional, and energetic electronic music. I'm elated to share a project that holds a special place in my heart – a remix of Alina Baraz's captivating track, "Feels Right." This musical endeavor was crafted in celebration of my 5-year dating anniversary with my wonderful wife, Nikki, whose love has been the guiding melody of our journey since our genesis on November 11th.

Over the span of multiple sessions totaling 45 hours, I poured my creativity and emotions into this remix, pushing my artistic boundaries and surpassing my own expectations.

The surprise debut took place during a memorable weekend getaway to St. Pete Beach with Nikki. As the sun kissed the sand and surrounded by the love we've cultivated over the years, Nikki experienced the magic of "Feels Right." Her genuine excitement and joy validated the time and effort invested in this musical creation.

"Feels Right" has been the melodic thread woven through our love story, making this remix a deeply personal and sentimental project. Crafting it was an immensely enjoyable experience, and I'm thrilled to share it with all of you.
