Slynk & Woofax have teamed up for an epic collaboration merging their funky and glitchy styles, out February 9th on Gravitas Recordings. Both artists are deeply connected in the Shambhala and funky glitch-hop scene, and this collaboration finally merges their styles into something fresh.  After Woofax’s recent collaborations on Gravitas we’ve been eager to hear more, and bringing along the legendary Slynk to the Gravitas family is something we are very excited for.  Slynk and Woofax both are amazing Ableton music production teachers on their Youtube and Patreons, another core value that stays true to the roots of Gravitas Recordings.  This track brings us back to the golden age of funky glitch-hop, and these artists are some of the best in the scene for this classic sound!

Plugin The Speakers opens with a funky bass guitar groove with an irresistible groove and swagger.  It quickly builds into a heavy glitch-hop drop following a similar groove and having a call and response with funky distorted guitar riffs.  The song has an old school sound and its sampling and breakdowns creates an unreal jump back and forth with glitch-hop sounds and live guitar and funk elements.

Though officially titled "NEON NIGHTMARE," this track's true conceptual heart lies in the urgent call to "Shatter The Glare." Born from late-night walks through cities that felt less like living spaces and more like glowing, digital cages, this ALbum is a visceral reaction to the sensory overload and societal disillusionment of the modern age. We wanted to capture the suffocating weight of hyper-connectivity, the relentless hum of screens, and the pervasive feeling of being consumed by a reality that felt increasingly artificial. The intro's jarring industrial clang and wailing sirens aren't just sounds; they're the oppressive heartbeat of a world where 'plastic smiles' and 'digital disease' replace genuine human connection. Lyrically, the song descends into that urban abyss, tracing a journey from passive observation to a furious, almost primal roar of defiance. Every "concrete vein" and "flashing billboard" adds to the claustrophobic atmosphere, building towards the explosive chorus – a desperate scream against the forces that seek to turn souls into code. The bridge is where that pent-up frustration finally boils over, culminating in the desperate, apocalyptic call to "SMASH THE SCREENS! TEAR IT DOWN!"
