I want to share with you an excerpt from a letter I wrote to myself 4 years ago, when I was 1 year into music production, feeling so frustrated, overwhelmed, and discouraged:

“This was never supposed to be easy. It’s a journey. It’s gonna be fucking hard, but it will never happen if you do not give 100%. In five years, where do you want to be? Do you want to think about what could have been, or regret not giving it your all? Fuck no. In five years you want to think back on this moment right here and wonder why you ever doubted yourself. You want to laugh when you think about how you almost gave up.”

Whenever I feel discouraged about this pursuit I always come back and read this letter I wrote in 2019. I think about how I almost gave up, and I laugh.

Someone is gonna accomplish your dream, so why can’t it be you? Go for it.
