Classic oldschool style trance with with a calm and reflective mood. 

Contains matching themes and similar styles with a previous song of mine called Sunset. Similar to Sunset, the song contains a relatively complex chord progression with recurring motifs. Much like Sunset, the main part is one big long-running melody and progression. The song also modulates keys twice, both times one semitone up (Sunset modulated twice both one semitone down).

Started from an old idea I had flowing around: triplet bass with short arp riff + off-beat distorted guitar. Strong sawlead with a massively long main melody line, some wierd chords too.

(Yes, this song is about emotional security.)

(This song is about that change that you don't realise is happening but when only realise how drastic it was when you look back. That change is growing up.)

So the story....I spent pretty much most of yr 11 endlessly composing classical / orchestral for a game which almost finished but never was. I just found all this stuff again on my hard drive, thought instead of letting it rot I may as well share it.

Slow, mellow orchestral soundtrack. Made for honours thesis project.

For fun, a quick self-analysis:

We constantly search for happiness, but only to find it within ourselves. This song is inspired by that realisation.

The song transitions repeatedly between quiet dissonance and loud consonance. 

Phrase cadences are repeatedly avoided, ending with a quiet dissonant part. These phrases increase in intensity, the cadence avoidance also increasing in intensity.  The climactic phrase ends with a massive deceptive cadence, before the ending phrase comes in. 

The ending phrase is a repeat of the first phrase, except this time ending in a perfect cadence.
