Our third and last single from 2021 community mixtape by Neo Clowns, "DIY SUMMONINGS" - a project inspired by, and dedicated to an electronic music mastermind @iglooghost. The mixtape is our approach to a mysterious music genre created by Igloo called Lei Music, which has the abbility to summon creatures from another world. Each track is a unique take on the Lei phenomenon, as we try our best to summon the weirdest and coolest beigs possible.

Bulgasari told us the story behind their summoning below:

"I pulled off my first Lei summon (an orange-sized floating shape) with nothing but cracked software and a busted-up laptop in my back garden – for years after, I chased that same rush. As time passed, I ended up posting in a certain defunct Lei Music Enthusiast X Body Building forum (if you know, ya know…). Following user-posted guides made by other forum weirdos really accelerated my learning process, and I became hungry for bigger things, bigger summons: what I needed was a genuine, authentic Lei Disk. 
Now, **REDACTED** had a reputation for trolls (see link: https://imgur.com/a/MTZPYpW ), so I was careful in vetting possible candidates for the disk, but ‘xXxBigZebrahxXX’ seemed hopeful. Apparently he had a vintage Lei Disk that he’d inherited off his Grandpa, which he saw no use for anymore – well, I told him if he didn’t want it, I’d be happy to take it off his hands. I was prepared when the Disk arrived in the mail, my gear sealed in the back of my car as I peeled onto the curb, heading for a nearby field. With my field mic running, I fired up the rest of the equipment. Close-to-immediately, small shapes spun themselves out of the air, shivering and coalescing. Ignoring the deafening feedback from my right speaker, I watched a crack open in the sky, and massive, coral-like appendages swing forth - at that point, my computer exploded. A mighty gale knocked me 15 feet through the air into the freezing mud, as the rifts abruptly sealed themselves shut. My equipment’s mostly fucked, but I was just able to pull recordings from the field mic – here are the fruits of my experiment!"

i'm 21 years old, now.

i'm to a point i believe more in strength in numbers than ever before.
i've surrounded myself with people i don't feel scared or unsure about being myself around.
i'm coming to terms better with the fact it's okay to let loose whatever's going on in my head. i have to be careful with where i do it, and who i do it towards, as i could very well be rattling off to the wrong person and...get nothing in return. but,
i have to remember that mistakes don't mean it's the end of it all.
i really, really have to remember the above thing. (lol)
i have to remember with the future comes oppurtunity. whatever unfilled spots will eventually round out.

i have to remember what i have. i have to remember all of them and why i'm so grateful for them. why i love them so much. why i spend every day with them and never get tired of it. why i keep going so i can hear their joy. 

i have to remember i can't just quit.
they want me to continue. and i love them.

i never thought i'd get this far. i say that every year, but i mean it every time.

2020 and this year definitely kicked my ass but they really do feel like the first two years i've ever truly, been me. now i just have to face what's ahead. it's hard but it's getting easier.

Berlin-based hyperbolic IDM artist IXXF lost their body but not their voice. Their debut is a genre-bending music project that separates the artistic output from the individual's body — from the voice of a gendered and embodied Persona.

Trap and deconstructed club music blend in with bold pop anthems - and even fragments of emo punk, into an artificial but yet heartwarming sound.  To conquer the idea of the artist's voice as a primal extension of the  singer themselves, a direct link from their anatomy to the audience, IXXF  uses digital effects and voice manipulation to free the music from the restrictions of the artist's physical presence.

IXXF has numerous features by gender challenging artists on like Pussy Riot, Catnapp, Galen Tipton, Jinka, Lamb Kebab, Recovery Girl, Atlas Moe and more on their debut album. These collabs sound like a single, disembodied voice that represents the music with a maximum of authenticity.

IXXF is an inclusive musical journey and proves that an artist is not defined by their persona, but can  become their own vision through simultaneous impersonation by a  multitude of bodies in various (fluid) forms.

Friends to the end IXXF and Catnapp stomp onto the dancefloor as the best dressed pair in the club, yelling over the microphone on this song about digital friendships. Best described as hyperpunk, the beat carrying "1MF" takes a sauntering pace, comfortably supporting the energetic vocals by booming and crashing methodically. Bearing their teeth on the cover art, IXXF and Catnapp are eager to scare away the fake friends accumulated through social media. Take a look at the music video where the two taunt their following on an Instagram Live stream, with both clothing and CGI flourishes designed by Ksti Hu.

CGI music video created by Ksti Hu for IXXF’s debut single, “Everything Sucks” portrays a character who feels helpless in a broken world. While crawling through the mud, IXXF wails “I SUCK AT THIS!” But as the camera pans around to abandoned commercial and material artifacts, one can only question if the character’s insecurities come as a product of their environment. Originally to be titled “I SUCK” we decided to change the title to “Everything Sucks” to tell those experiencing 2020 they can only be responsible for so much. There are tons of folks who internalize the bad and feel at fault or guilty. Hopefully this video reminds those people to look around to see we are all in this together. You don’t suck; Everything Sucks.
