Is it fair to call Hypho a DDD legend at this point? We think so.

The UK northerner-turned-US bass-fuelled resident is back on the label with a heavyweight three-track EP, Teachings.

An education in all things 140, Teachings sees Hypho’s alternative swagger come to the fore, with his customary left-field productions all rooted in a deep respect for rave culture.

"Mirrors of Smoke" is a deep, pulsating dubstep masterclass. "Can U Feel", with Crastinate feat. Lowkita and Fugzi on vocal duties, has swagger for days and an unstoppable percussive energy. Then the title track, "Teachings", sees you off into the sunset of enlightenment with its deep dub flavours and immaculate vibes.
