This mix is a replay of the set from our last party. Expect speed garage edits and a rogue as fuck mix of Josh Wink into ABBA. o•rbyss aims to help soothe the queer spectrum and focus on the well-being of the community. Queer DJs are invited to submit a mix to showcase an alternative side to their music library outside of a rave and take us on a meditative journey. ✨

Notes on the mix:

"This was a pleasure for me to record, balancing ambient and bass to create a healing mix. Some people might find these tracks on the heavy side but I can find some peace within them. It’s an hour long journey which I found very cathartic."

Jess Hands is a London based DJ who grew up on drum and bass and dubstep. A lover of all things bass and fast tempos. She blends uk techno, breaks and leftfield bass to create experimental mixes.

After being selected as an emerging artist for Risen Festival earlier this year, she quickly become an exciting new artist with a busy summer playing at Body Movements, Secret Garden Party and around the UK. Jess also has radio residencies on Voices Radio and Mondo Radio and has made guest appearances on Rinse FM, Foundation FM, Brixton Radio, Netil Radio & more.

We are back for the new year and where better to start than with one of Bristols up and coming talents, in multi genre selector, Merty. 
Focusing on the more bouncy and energetic side of dance music, the self taught DJ recently graduated from mixnights first intermediate course. She unites techno, minimal and broken beat with some garage influences to create a seriously punchy mix. 
Bristol people keep an eye out for this name on the posters around your city and we can't wait to see what 2024 has in store for this young artist.
