The 1st stop after leaving the bright lights of Auckland, New Zealand's primary surf spot, Raglan. As I'm not a strong swimmer I did not partake in any water based activities, more hiking, exploring the town & of course visiting the famous toothbrush Fence as referenced in Flight Of The Conchords.

Perserverance (Life Moves On)

Originally intended to be developed into a song for a rock band set up, I decided to try this U.N.K.L.E/TOOL inspired composition out as a solo piece in the hope that it wouldn't sound too out of place amongst my other pieces as guitar based compositions tend to when released by electronic artists.

A simple short, but sweet early Aphex Twinesque style tune

Constructed in Queenstown, but shortly became representative of The Sounds, this track was to relate to winter arriving in the rugged areas of Southland of New Zealand's South Island where it can be quite bleak.
The title came about because the synth sound used as the building block reminded me of the hallway theme from the remake of Resident Evil.

Cold Corridors

Every once in a while for a break in my original compositions I try reverse engineer a tune, usually hip hop as an option to use it in a live set. I was a late comer to Danger Doom, but as this tune gets stuck in my head I decided to try my hand recreating it. Being a bass player I filled in the gaps of 2 bassless bars from the original version.

Old School Rules (Reverse Engineered Instrumental)

The morning after the creepy woods represented in Rotoroa, I was awoken by the melodic Tui call. I recorded it onto my phone (which is the poor audio used in the track)& this is my attempt at creating an upbeat tune using the same melody as a basis.
