MNMT Label Showcase : Huinali Recordings

For our fourteenth installement we've invited Noah Lyas, an artist passionate about making refined ceramics and composing deep atmospheric rhythms.

Malii grew up in a house where music was always on because of two passionate parents who shared a large record collection with their children. With a father as a musician, early contact with different instruments was made as well as performing arts.

Later in life, around the age of twenty, after many dances in night clubs with friends, Malii started to make his own music focussing on soft percussive rhythms and lush atmospheres, finding inspiration in different kinds of music and sometimes movies.

The first two releases, “Before the Horizon” and “Obsidian”, were the starting point of Noah Lyas, his pseudonym, and the beginning of his record label called “Profundo Collective”.

Some words about this mix:
"In the tapestry of music, deep rhythms are the threads that weave together our primal connection to sound. They are the heartbeat of cultures, the pulse of life that reverberates through our bodies and souls. Picture the steady, resonant thump of a drum, echoing through the night air. It's more than just a sound; it's a call to movement, an invitation to dance."

HYPNOSIS 014 NOAH LYAS

The recording of my set from La Nature Festival, recorded 12-3PM on a glorious sunny Sunday on the 23rd of June 2024.

This was one of my favourite sets this summer, I was so honoured to be playing before the legendary DJ Nobu, and spent time preparing for this set gathering bright~dubby~daytime techno with a zippy flair and uplifting energy 🧚

The set features lots of tracks I’ve been enjoying this summer, including music by: Tsott, GiGi FM, Azu Tiwaline, Vladw, Al Wootton, Sindh, Luigi Tozzi, Konduku, Stojche, Ness, Ruman, Rene Wise, Fireground, Forest On Stasys, Kohra & Midnight Traffic +++

The woodland location of this Belgian festival was stunning, and playing on this delicious Lambda Labs sound system was such a treat. Thanks again to Julien @noname_community & Daniel[i] @danieli_whs for the invitation to join this year’s edition 🧡🌲

Keep your eyes out for the upcoming compilation coming out in February, which celebrates the 10 year milestone of On Board Music featuring music from Altinbas, Steffi, Paula Koski, and more.

ILAYRUNI - Live - @ ExtraMostra Zulú Klub (Valencia) / 27-12-24

ILAY, a 19 year-old sound artist behind the alias @ilayruni, works at the crossroads of electronic music and percussive instruments. Merging these two worlds, he explores the possibilities of rhythm and sound  Growing up in a family that had a strong bond with the electronic music scene, ILAY had early access to a wide range of styles and sounds, giving him the chance to wander and discover all types of frequencies and feelings. He seeks highly percussive rhythmic patterns that merge with Synthesizers and give place for deep soundscapes.

*  This mix was recorded for Klub collective in Granada, Spain (April 05th, 2025) alongside Sciama, Ilayruni, and Broly. The collective makes a significant contribution to the city by offering an original and unconventional vision.

Influenced by sounds such as bebop or progressive psychedelic rock and focused on experimental and ambient music rather than clubbing in its beginnings, Pharma later delved into deep and immersive sound, creating an amalgam that has been interconnected over time to finally take shape in both listening and clubbing sets with a specific musical discourse in each context, connected to dub, trippy sounds and ambient landscapes, where the density between lights and shadows promotes mental activity that prevails over physical activity.

A Dub Techno Journey is a compilation that traverses Dantes circles of Hell, transforming them into hypnotic and profound soundscapes. Each track represents a canto from Dantes Inferno, interpreted by producers from different parts of the world, united by a shared sensitivity for dub techno vibrations. The idea was conceived by Francesco Tamburrano, who envisioned a musical journey blending literature and sonic exploration, and took shape through the collaboration with the label Superordinate, always attentive to visionary projects with an international scope. The result is a dark and immersive path, where enveloping basslines and deep echoes guide the listener on a sonic pilgrimage through Dantes Inferno.
