Mod21 is the project of Manuele Chiaravalloti, an italian electronic music producer and experimental sound artist. Born in Satriano, Italy, his musical journey began in 2007 when he moved to Switzerland.
Here, after 7 years of musical research, produces his first two works released on the Munich based label Prologue. His music emerges from a deep and rich imagination which flows into sounds dark and slippery that seem to be born in the bowels of a parallel world to ours. Browsing increasingly abstract concepts of sound, carefully processed , the result is a particular footprint easily recognizable.

Into The Abyss #020 | Kontinum

Initially inspired by the subcultural scene of his hometown of Lübeck, the young artist was strongly influenced by the predominant sound of the Leipzig techno scene. Especially the infamous Institut fuer Zukunft and its hypnotic and dissociative sound significantly formed his
distinctive style and quickly paved his way into the local scene.
Over the years his sonic palette grew and now reaches from soothing ambient and downtempo to dark and dissociative contemporary techno.

In 2017 Kontinum co-founded the collective Nebula and, after organising their first raves, the collective quickly found its way into Leipzig's club scene and managed to establish its own event series at Institut fuer Zukunft.

In addition to managing most of Nebula's musical affairs, Kontinum continues to steadily enhance his own remarkable sound which can already be listened to on his releases on labels such as The Gods Planet, Lowless and Agos.

Our next artist is originally from Brazil, he begab his journey among the underground clubs and obscure after-parties –  eventually moved to London, building upon a relentless passion for vinyl and further taking a leap into the world of production. He has been featured on imprints such as @affin, @circularlimited and @kvlto-records and many others. His distinct sound has taken shape over the years, intoxicating listeners through hypnotizing rhythm and cerebral loops. We are honored to have @caueborba complete our roster this year.

It’s with utmost pleasure we’re buckling up 2022 and shooting straight into 2023 with a powerful, atmospheric set thanks to Alexskyspirit’s contribution. Please make a due welcome to the greek (borned/raised in Patras) producer/Dj, also co-owner of the young @Khoros-label.

Alexskyspirit delivers a mix built on deep/dark bits together with newer tracks as well as exclusive, unreleased material. The result is ...moody AF, oscillating between a well-known dark-building-block (LN or Berlin-like), as much it kicks you into the midst of a white, powdery snowy mountainscape under starry Nightskies. It's the contrast, the thumping-red-thread (sometimes almost gloomy) that reveals Alexskyspirit's peculiarity. The journey embarks us in memories of both sweaty crowds, strobes and hypnotic states, somewhere between reality and dreams. Respites are given to calm the mind before kicks & basslines bring you right back in line. Cinematographic, ravey, a sense of mystery mixed are all in favor of a cathartic trip. Podcast #123 is the perfect energiser coming at you from Manchester, England born producer, composer, sound designer and DJ, Paleman. 

Paleman swiftly kick-started his artistic journey at the age of 18 after studying Jazz; those earlier days including a noteworthy collaboration with Mercury Prize jazz nominees, Polar Bear, before going onto launch his own white label series in 2016, PLMN.

His musical endeavours have since included curating his own show on Rinse FM, debuting his textural electronic percussion based live show at Manchester International Festival, numerous releases on a variety of labels including his own PLMN Records, and taking his love for innovation and experimentation to dance floors around the world. 

A truly original ride that catapults us straight back to the dance floor in the best possible way, Paleman’s mix for On the 5th Day flawlessly showcases his mastership of dynamic, textural, percussive music commanding you to keep moving as you're guided into beautiful states of heady hypnosis.
