Both artists have been fans of Marco for many years, making it a true honour to play together at this event. Even though their musical backgrounds and preferred formats differ, their shared love for deeper sounds and their strong personal bond came together seamlessly in this mix.

Røpe was born in Barcelona in 1990 and lived in Amsterdam from 2015 to 2020. After regularly playing at Direct Drive’s events, he got his first residency in 2019 at Generator. Since returning to Barcelona, he has performed at events organised by labels such as Mostra, NODE, OUT Recs, Sub Radio or LAUT. He is the co-founder of TILECT.art, a cultural association and music collective based in Barcelona. His music selection leans towards deep, atmospheric soundscapes, often shifting from dense, introspective textures to brighter, uplifting melodies, always infused with a sense of elegance and a classic touch. He is a vinyl lover and prefers playing records the old way.

DJ Berru is a Barcelona-based DJ and event organiser with deep roots in the city’s underground scene. Founder of the Estratechno collective and the Escapepodcast series, he’s been shaping alternative dancefloors since 2012.

His DJ sets delve into dark, hypnotic techno with strong Detroit influences, while his alias The Option B explores acid, electro, jungle and synth-pop pearls. He’s played at clubs like LAUT, Razzmatazz or BeCool and at festivals like Festival’Era or TechnoTrippin’. He also co-curates Club Aura - one of Barcelona’s last underground gems, dedicated to deep, cinematic electronic music and video art.

As the framework for this mix, @onohnooo imagined his dream line-up and decided to include at least two tracks from each artist,  something he doesn’t usually do, but found really interesting, especially when forcing himself not to play tracks from the same producer back-to-back. The result is a spontaneous and fresh approach to building a set.

Onohno has a beautiful way to describe the journey you are about to hear. “I imagine it each time as a moment of introspection in a fictional world where we travel from biome to biome, sometimes through very natural and primitive places, and other times through more abstract spaces shaped by new technologies.”  The atmosphere he wants to leave behind isn’t clarity, but something more elusive. Quiet disorientation, the good kind, where you don’t quite know where you are but you’re glad to be there. Towards the end several genres intertwine, with erratic rhythms blending into slower ones, sounds that feel both distinctly electronic and deeply organic at the same time. 

His sound is mostly inspired by those nights where he found himself fully immersed in the music ”.. and you could sense the whole crowd was too, as if everyone was breathing to the same rhythm. That feeling of collective energy, of being carried somewhere together, has really shaped the way I approach sound. Also, over the last four years, I’ve been diving into experimental music, both acoustic and electronic, and that completely changed the way I see music as a whole”.

Also worth experiencing is his A/V live show with OTON, “it’s a way for me to share how I visualize music and to give the audience an experience that’s as immersive as possible”, Onohno says.
