B5. Gesloten Cirkel - Balls

Cultivated Electronics starts off its 2024 release schedule with an all electro family affair from father and son duo The Advent and Zein Ferreira. ''Elektronically Minded EP'' is the first of two releases scheduled on the label from them this year. For this first instalment the pair turn in two tracks of expertly crafted production that pays homage to the history of the genre with their own modern twist. The A side's ''Basic Channeling'' is given remix treatment from Robert Witchoski a.k.a. The Exaltics who steps up the gears with a 4/4-esqe rework in his signature style. To close out the EP, remix duty stays in the family with a rework of ''Syncopated'', a track that features on the next EP, nephew of Cisco and cousin of Zein, Torai, who shows that high end electro production definitely runs in the veins of the Ferreira family.

Since 2022, @junction_dj has been making waves as a DJ duo, regularly performing for the Pacece and Leipzig Callin collectives. With fresh ears, they capture the timeless straight sound of the mid-'90s and seamlessly merge it with contemporary hardgroove techno. Their mix for Hypress reveals even more depth, showcasing moments of warm strings intertwined with funky techno grooves.

Effortlessly blending different eras, they do so with a subtle yet powerful touch. In addition to their club nights and festival appearances, Junction is also politically active, organizing events across two different collectives. Their sound is energetic, driving, and hypnotic – the perfect recipe for a night of euphoria and movement.

JETSET named a wishful thinking of the perfect rave night out and is also the b2b alias of Templeton and catjes, both dj's and producers based in leipzig. 

Since 2004 TEMPLETON was not only part of the techno scene in leipzig but he also played an active role in it. He gained a lot of experience and created his own, unique sound, one can hear his passion for electronica as well as a hard driving and hypnotic industrial sound. CATJES is just another name for techno. Her music is always straight forward but she has the rare ability to infuse goosebumps moments into this hard, industrial sound, also she loves it, to surprise with an unexpected beat and one can feel that she was a hip hop dancer her teenie years. Both thought, this would fit perfectly together; the same idea of a perfect rave and the slightly extraordinary taste of techno music.

It's been two weeks since we played the closing set for the Vinylschleifer party at Duqo. We – @catjes-official & Templeton – have recently come together as JETSET, a new concept. In this still young year, it has been an incredible experience for us. Without hesitation, we merged our most bouncing tracks, regardless of which techno subgenre they came from. For us, it felt like someone flipped the switch – the lights went on for us, and for the crowd as well.

Pleased to say the repress of BA050 will be hitting stores soon. The first in the Transhumanism series went down a storm and has been out of stock for ages. The original pressing was on orange vinyl. This time it’s on black with an orange sticker to match the second in the series and the 3rd which will be released in September.

There are no plans to sell this on Bandcamp. So check the decent stores out there - some taking preorders already.

In February 2016 5 people from the Bass Agenda family met in person for the first time at Whip It! - an Electro night hosted by Dave Clarke and held at The Melkweg, Amsterdam. 

Inspired by the meeting, the friendship, the music and the experience of the night they set out to make the 50th release on Bass Agenda Recordings - 'Transhumanism'. 

As a compilation of Dutch Electro from the deep underground the vinyl is a deep orange pressing and strictly limited to 200 copies.
