I really liked the original, and even better is that they provided stems for this remix. Those stems included some really great color-bass material which were perfect to fill in the top frequencies to compliment the lower end of my tracks. 

The other thing I wanted to pay attention to was the intent of the original, which is to highlight their character Haruka. Given the cover art used and the line "Even if your heart belongs to her, I swore to protect you," I got this feeling of danger and it then progresses to safety and security.
