'The first support on this noticeably busy night at Sneaky Pete’s is local singer-songwriter, I AM PLUTO (AKA Craig Finnie). It’s a real contrast from the other acts but a shrewd choice of support as the crowd are treated to half an hour of blissful melancholy. Finnie has clearly spent time crafting his unique relationship between his impassioned vocals and poignant guitar playing and he is so intertwined within both mediums that it almost falls into one exquisitely soulful instrument.

The songs are often smattered with complex picking patterns and a drawl in reference of Leonard Cohen. The melodies are pure but again unusual and there’s a nod to the likes of Fleet Foxes and the similarly named I Am Kloot. As Finnie sails into BPD Blues, we see a moody side to his otherwise sleek folk as we are taken by the hand along a path previously walked by the likes of Nick Drake and his cohorts. Finnie is a natural story teller and embeds his emotions in every corner of his technique and performance. A must see on the Edinburgh scene.'
