I did not win the remix comp, but here's my remix of Doctor P's new single.

I may make a few alterations before having it mastered for you lovely people.

17/09/10 I've replaced the file with a slightly better mastering effort (I think).
15/11/10 File replaced again since there was too much sub bass when I played it out.


Simple story: I was flicking through some unused loops from recent months, decided to form this one into a track, put the first acapella I clicked on over it and it worked. The singing fitted the bass tune so it seemed destined to happen, so I proceeded to spend the day adding the necessary elements and tightening up the composition.

So here it is, a single day's work, mastered myself with very limited knowledge and tools, raw but pretty immense.

Shakes House & Garage mix May 2013

From playing D&B vinyl in his student bedroom to gigging round London as part of the eclectic Pogo DJs, Shakes has honed his DJ skills and now takes on the production world. While retaining influences from a mix of electro, ghetto house, garage and dubstep Shakes has initially gone back to his roots in the breakbeat scene with his music making.
