I'm continuing the MIDIs of the normal versions of the changed songs in S&K Collection. Here's Ice Cap.

Ice Cap Zone MIDI (W/ DOWNLOAD)

I'm considering this my first real original song, because all of my other ones kinda suck. This one however, is a lot better.
This song came about when I wanted to make a song for an original Sonic zone concept, but when I started to make it, it sounded similar in feel to the bad ending credits song in Sonic 2 for the Master System and Gamegear. So, I just built the song as a song that could fit into the credits of a classic Sonic game.

Everything you see/hear here was made by me.

So, you know what the "Sonic 4 Genesis Project" is? If you don't, it's a recreation of the entire Sonic 4 Episode 1 and 2 OST but with samples from the YM2612 (the Genesis' soundchip).

I'm doing the same thing but I'm making it sound like it was on the Master System.

I don't think I'm gonna do every single song from the OST, but I'm gonna try and do as many as I can. I guess I'll just call this the "Sonic 4 SMS Project" or something. I'm also not gonna do the OST in order, so you're just gonna get one's that I felt like recreating.

Here's the second song for the Sonic 4 SMS Project. This is honestly my least favorite one, cuz the way I made it just makes it sound kinda bland. Not much else to say.

This is the last one I had saved to be posted. And it'll be a little bit until the next one. Anyways, this is my favorite one so far. This is the first time I layered more than one instrument in the same pattern for this project, and I'm gonna be doing that more often. Sure, it makes it sound a little less authentic, but it makes it sound much better.

I made this to demonstrate the soundfont I've created. This soundfont is nowhere near finished though. I'm making it a soundfont with every single sample used in the past versions of each round in Sonic CD. Every single sample, in one soundfont. I hope you're looking forward to future updates.

Shimmering Shore Zone [Soundfont Demonstration]

I'm very proud of this one. Like, very proud. It didn't take very long to do, at all, but I just love the way it sounds. It gives off a Super Mario Galaxy vibe that I've never been able to capture before. This song's main inspiration was actually Super Mario Galaxy, if that wasn't obvious.

Stardust Speedway (P Mix), but more chill. This actually uses a soundfont that includes every sample from the past mixes in Sonic CD that wasn't made by me. So, there isn't really much point to continuing my soundfont. I don't have much more to say about this one, except that I'm really proud of it! I wanna make more stuff like this.

This is a potential mini-boss theme for a Sonic fangame I'm beginning to develop (by that I mean make concepts for different zones, one day get clickteam so I can use the Sonic Worlds engine, eventually learn how to use the engine, and even more eventually after that begin to make the game) I'm calling Sonic Dreams! No, not the creepy one with Sonic Movie Maker. I'll say more about it in the future.
