Hey Nicholas...yes indeed, the Doepfer is a recreation based on the Sala's post-war machine...so I guess it's a recreation of a recreation!

This is like an MRI of the soul.  Very healing.  Probably already picked up by earth-like planet Keppler b.

The Doepfer Trautonium is a modern recreation of an electronic musical instrument invented by Friedrich Trautwein in the thirties in Berlin.  It features the Doepfer A113 Subharmonic Oscillator which is highlighted in this droney demo by Robert Fantinatto of /RUN.  Though not "classic" additive synthesis, the A113 creates up to 4 different harmonics from a square wave...you can hear them cycling in and out through the piece.
