This aural work explores the fields of Flushing Meadows Corona Park in an attempt to locate a resonance, residue, and potential activity from various moments in time. The Park, once being an ash dump, has undergone multiple stages of change, difficulty, and prosperity through its use and its immediate community. With the use of audio playback devices, field recordings and sound from archival films of the 1939 and 1964 World’s Fairs held in New York City, a mix will be performed in an attempt to collapse time and matter into one sonic experience; a soundscape paralleling the state of the park-both refined and ill.
