Grass Green grooves into 2024 with a double dose of deep-house-meets-disco dynamite from label co-founder Chris Reed.

With Paul Radley, Chris created some of the most compelling club cuts to emerge from New Zealand over the past decade. Releases as Reed & Radley (house) and Monkey Boots (nu disco) topped sales charts on download sites around the world.

The Lounacy EP is his first solo outing under his own name in more than 30 years of releases. It was worth the wait.

Dancin’ and Spinnin’ is that rarest of beasts, a track built around filtered disco loops that prioritises credibility over cliche - even though it contains loads of sirens! 

A tribute to the power of the dancefloor, it’s underground and optimistic with an undercurrent of melancholy. Much like its creator.

With its burbling acid line, shimmering synth washes and FX-drenched vocals, Lounacy edges closer to a more traditional deep house vibe.

But it retains its disco roots thanks to rolling percussion and a low-slung bassline. Chuggy, punchy, lithe and loose it’s one that works on multiple types of floors. Get your jiggle on!

The Opilec Music label has once again cooked up a very special new project for its next EP:
‘Dirty Talk’ is a remake of the classic ‘80s Italo disco, proto-house tune by Klein & M.B.O. and
has been produced by label boss I-Robots.


The release comes with a Club Version made by I-Robots together with the Piatto Brothers,
Alessandro & Davide, who bring a truly authentic Italo sound to the project with the use of the
same vintage hardware utilised on the original (Roland SH1, Roland 808 etc). Davide Piatto
was part of seminal act N.O.I.A., was the musician that provided the guitar & synth lines and
all the electronic programming on the original 1982 version and was behind the Klein & M.B.O.
productions along with Mario Boncaldo (r.i.p.) and Tony Carrasco.


The original recording featured the vocals of Italian pop singer Rossana Casale and this
vocal mix alongside the ever popular instrumental played a key part in the formation of
Chicago fledgling House music sound. For this re-imaging I-Robots decided to update it and
contacted cult disco soul singer, Donna McGhee of The Fatback Band, The Phreek and
Universal Robot Band to provide a stunning new vocal.


The club version is a dazzling bit of cosmic, lovably retro sounding disco-house with lush
arps, sombre chords and seductive vocals from McGhee. Arranged and produced faithfully
like the original, this is sure to once again grab the’s world’s attention.


The Virgo Four original version (a digital only track) is a more modern sounding, deeper and
stripped back house cut with driving rubbery drums and bouncy melodies, whilst the I-Robots
Reconstruction is a deep and atmospheric, almost spiritual version, with whispered vocals,
standout melodies and tons of colour in its grooves.


This very special release is a collectors' edition that very much charts the earliest roots of
Chicago house music. A remix Ep will follow soon with reworks by Gene Hunt and Radio Slave.

Having established himself as one of the most exciting contemporary dance producers with a string of stellar EPs and LP HENSA, Japanese producer boys be kko returns triumphantly with the Nagasawa EP, four floor cuts bursting with emotion, shimmering in Tokyo technicolor, and perfectly at home on Bliss Point.

Nagasawa kicks off with a bang. “ChuKii” is a peak time heater: breaks, chopped vocals and punchy toms sear over a low end groove that proves body music can funk. Melodic acid explodes like a firework mid-track, taking the dance floor to psychedelic new heights.

The club psychedelia continues with “Mold Mold”, a minimal, subterranean system roller adorned with swells, bells, and deep, guttural growls dubbed to the vanishing point.

“Sant Esteve (kko Edit)” is melancholic and contemplative jazz house, eschewing cliché and twinging with nostalgia for that moment you felt most free.

“Humor is an important part of my music”, boys be kko reflected over lunch as Izakaya smoke billowed past his face. “Oignon”, the fourth and final track on Nagasawa, is an airy and joyful cut of sampledelia that makes good on this promise. An enormous smile of a track sending listeners off with a slice of sonic sunshine and, dare we say, hope.

Bliss Point is proud to welcome boys be kko to the label, and to share with you this incredibly special music.

Nagasawa will be available digitally and on limited edition 12” vinyl Friday, September 5.

Groove Boys Project - Something Special ft. Ava Baya

I-Robots aka "Gianluca Pandullo” Turin, Italy native eclectic DJ, Producer, Remixer, A&R man having been active in the scene in one way or another since the early 80's. I-Robots story is one of many genres, styles of music and an insatiable enthusiasm for new experiences.​

From his early days he was inspired by the sounds of Soul-Jazz, Funk, Disco, Ethno and African Rhythms, Krautrock, Cosmic and early Electronic and the sounds that was forming the roots of all contemporary sounds so it would be wrong to pin his productions down to a certain genre.​​

That idea, of exploration and looking for the fresh is at the core of what Gianluca does. Never sticking slavishly to one sound, he has spread his wing wider than most. Nowhere is this more evident than in his live performance, where his passion is to bring it all together in a unique experience with elements of Deep House, Techno & Electronic Music to more modern experiments like Indie Dance & Nu Disco.​​

Just like his own creations, his label follows the same "No Sound is Too Taboo" ethos and it really shows. Featuring an insightful and creative catalog of music. Reflective of his personality and passion as the collaboration he had with a stunning artists team including:​​
