"I-ROBOTS: Italo Electro Disco Underground Classics" is a new compilation released by IRMA Records on January 2004.
The sound of the 80's, Electro in particular, in recent times has been influencing the world of dance music.
Italian Electro Dance and Italo Disco are among the strongest inspiration sources. 
The first volume of I-Robots (Italian Robots) selected by Gianluca "I-Robots" Pandullo wants to be a precious retrospective on that musical period. 
The compiler is a deejay and record collector from those years.                             
He deliberately chose the most rare and influential tracks rather than the most famous ones, already featured in other international compilations he also decided to not include the vocal versions, that usually are cheesy and generic.

'Lectric Workers - Robot Is Systematic (Vocal Version)

Vargulf, the wolf who slaughters for pleasure, lures you deep into his private oasis with Sydney bush bashers The Loin Brothers providing the sound track.  The original mix is a Cerrone-esque disco odyssey featuring a rolling bass line and orchestral strings which slides into a howling guitar solo climax.  The Acid Re-Rub expresses the will of Vargulf through sweaty acid lines, storming piano stabs peaking with a frantic instrumental feeding frenzy.
  
Los Angeles production team Woolfy Vs Projections serve up their top sirloin mix, coaxing the garden open to receive the morning sunshine.  The remix showcases their blissed out  tropical sound, featuring vocals from the Woolfman himself.
 Melbourne musterer Tornado Wallace also enters the Garden to round off the EP.  He lays down a deep and heavy beat that pounds under the moonlit spectacle. This remix follows on from his recent 12” on Delusions of Grandeur of which has seen support from Greg Wilson, Mr Scruff and Mark E.
 
Garden of Vargulf is the much anticipated follow up release from The Loins’ 'Heavy Helmet', which featured a remix by Mock N Toof.  Heavy Helmet caught the attention of artists such as Aeroplane, Ewan Pearson and Ivan Smagghe, with Smagghe  featuring the remix on his Live at Robert Johnson mix.

I-Robots aka "Gianluca Pandullo” Turin, Italy native eclectic DJ, Producer, Remixer, A&R man having been active in the scene in one way or another since the early 80's. I-Robots story is one of many genres, styles of music and an insatiable enthusiasm for new experiences.​

From his early days he was inspired by the sounds of Soul-Jazz, Funk, Disco, Ethno and African Rhythms, Krautrock, Cosmic and early Electronic and the sounds that was forming the roots of all contemporary sounds so it would be wrong to pin his productions down to a certain genre.​​

That idea, of exploration and looking for the fresh is at the core of what Gianluca does. Never sticking slavishly to one sound, he has spread his wing wider than most. Nowhere is this more evident than in his live performance, where his passion is to bring it all together in a unique experience with elements of Deep House, Techno & Electronic Music to more modern experiments like Indie Dance & Nu Disco.​​
