Questa settimana per la nostra "Internal Selection" abbiamo il piacere di proporvi Corp, uno degli artisti più brillanti del panorama elettronico europeo.
L'appuntamento numero 24 di Internal Selection vede protagonista una delle personalità più interessanti della musica underground: Corp. La sua selezione eclettica e il suo sound deciso gli hanno permesso di essere uno dei paladini del ritorno della musica electro in Europa. Le sue uscite su Libertine Records e su Spaziotempo, sub-label dell'italianissima Were We Met, etichetta fondata dai Re-UP e Riccardo Piazza, lo hanno portato ad essere stimato dagli addetti ai lavori di diverse città europee.
Il prossimo 17 Maggio inoltre, Corp si esibirà nel nostro paese in occasione dello showcase Were We Met al Veniceberg, una delle realtà più meritevoli di attenzione del nostro territorio. Ecco a voi cosa ci ha raccontato Corp.

Internal Selection 024: CORP

This mix is a good representation of what Kermesse World is about: a vast crossover universe, a blender of electronic music genres, obscure gems from newcomers and artefacts digged out in a variety of fields. It is not an exact representation of what a typical set in a club would sound like. I always try to adapt depending on the location and the moment as it's all about time and space, hence the tendency to catch the housy side of the spectrum on many more occasions. Most of the techno-trancey-acidish stuffs appearing punctually or remaining for special occasions and advised audience specifically looking for that type of vibe.
On this one I tried to develop a strong narrative. A personal projection of what could be a musical odyssey questionning the interactions and connections between human being and machine, new technologies, robots or even transhumanism slowly becoming a reality (not for the better unfortunatly), and the future of our specie, on Earth or somewhere else.
From this point, I tried to sequence the mix in chapters. You might notice here and there the shift from one style/feel to another while still having the topic in mind and keeping it on target. Always a few routes, an altogether-type of experience, a common ending spot.

Props to my parisian family (and its offshoots abroad), diggers and party friends who can relate from a special perspective on the work I've been putting into this platform. Thanks to them for appreciating the growth and evolution, bringing daily support and striving for greatness as we challenge and influence each others.

Kartais tiesiog sunku patikėti, kaip viena naktis gali suformuoti tavo visą muzikinį skonį. Lygiai prieš 2 metus apsilankėme garsiąjame De School klube, HET Weekend vakarėlių serijoje, kuri vyko nuo šeštadienio vakaro iki pirmadienio ankstyvo ryto. Ten, kaip visada, užėjome savo mėgstamiausiu laiku - sekmadienio popiete, kada saulė leidžiasi atlikejui grojant. Tuo metu už pulto stovėjo dar mum visai nežinoma atlikėja - k.atou. Iki šiol eina šiurpuliai vien pagalvojant apie visą setą. Dar taip stipriai šokti niekad neteko. Nuo to laiko visas susidomėjimas minimalistiniu žanru tiktai stiprėjo, taip pat, kaip ir noras daugiau sužinoti apie atlikėją. Teko išklausyti visus mixus, podcastus ir su kiekvienu klausymu likti vis labiau nustebintiem. Kai tik pradėjome savo įrašų seriją, k.atou buvo vienas pirmųjų žmonių, su kuriuo iš karto susisiekėme ir paprašėme įrašyti mixą. Šiandien gavome galutinį rezultatą, kuris išpildė ir perpildė visus lūkesčius. Pristatome 1 valandos linkėjimus tiesiogiai iš Atėnų:

Sometimes it is hard to believe how much one night can influence your musical taste. Exactly 2 years ago we visited the famous De School club and went to HET Weekender party which used to start on Saturday night and finish on Monday morning. As usual, we went to the party on a Sunday afternoon when you can watch the sunset while the artist is playing. At the time, behind the decks there was k.atou - we didn’t really know her back then. We are still getting goosebumps just thinking about the whole set. We never danced so hard in our whole lives. After that moment our interest in minimal music genre just got stronger and we were striving to know more about the artist. We listened to every mix and podcast and we were getting more and more facinated. When we started our mix series, we knew she will be one of the first ones we will make contact and ask to record us a mix. Today we received the final result which was even more than we expected. We present to you 1hour greetings directly from Anthens:
