Breathe is about how we as individuals fall in love with other people really quickly without even knowing much about the other person. All it takes is one conversation and we're hooked! So Breathe is kind of a reminder to take things slowly and a reassurance that you don't have to have it all figured out. Take your time when it comes to matters of the heart!

Breathe

This is one of the most personal songs I've ever written. My father was never really present in my childhood.  When writing this song I wanted to channel all that emotion that I had suppressed for all these years and in some way make my pain productive. I know that parental relationships have caused an immense amount of pain for a lot of people. This is my gift to any kid who grew up without the love of a parent that they so desperately wanted. I see you and hope this eases some of your pain.
