Full time member of the Leeds-based band Vessels, Lee takes time out to share some of his new personal favourites.This mix is his journey into finding the light after years in a dark, techno-filled hole. "So, I recently played a party at a friends house. It was down south in these amazing grounds. Little festival vibe. After a long day of preparing and helping out with decorations, sorting out the sound system and going on missions to get this and that, I was pretty much knackered when it came to my turn to play. Everybody had been playing loads of really cool house and stuff that i hadn't really heard before. I looked at my 'record bag' and it was full of banging techno. With a gulp i ploughed in and emptied the floor after two or three songs. The only ones that worked were my own tunes which were more melodic. I got home the day after and looked at my music collection and thought 'wow, i sure do have a lot of dark techno here. I need to lighten the !@£$ up!' So this mix is me having a word with myself and finding the love…"
