Detroit's Burden brothers, more commonly known as Octave One, have been making classic techno from their roots since 1990 – and, much to our pleasure, have continued to produce, DJ and play sensational live sets as though no time has passed. 25 years on, their music still fuels the dancefloors of 2nd gen. techno lovers, as well as being picked up and reworked by modern dance music's most valuable players –  of which Paul Woolford is most certainly one.

When asked about his "Lose Myself" rework, Paul shared that Octave One and their 430 West label "have been inspirations to me for so many years. We met through mutual friends and immediately connected, following various gigs together globally. It was an honour to be invited to work on something for the Detroit label. My intention was to bring out the soulful edge of Octave One's sound and place it within the framework of a track that would work towards the end of the night." Since bursting onto the scene in 2010 with huge support from the likes of Laurent Garnier, John Digweed and Dave Clarke, Ireland’s Ian O'Donovan has gone on to achieve great feats as an artist. Ian has forged a unique style within the techno scene, blending a touch of the past with his melodic sound and moulding it into place with top level production. His tracks have found homes on iconic imprints such as Kevin Saunderson's KMS in Detroit, John Digweed's burgeoning Bedrock Records, Christian Smith's Tronic and Sasha's Last Night on Earth label.
Ian has reworked classics like Inner City's 'Good Life' and collaborated with legends like John Digweed along with a string of top solo releases, which have won favour with industry titans like Richie Hawtin and Carl Cox. After standout early releases on Detone and KMS, 2015 sees Ian O'Donovan's stock once more on the rise, fuelled further by the signing of inimitable techno cut 'Vortex' to Adam Beyer's global phenomenon Drumcode Records; an indication that this timeless producer is only now entering his stride. With an arsenal of dance-floor weapons developed over a decade by his side, Ian is committed to bringing his dj sets to the world, taking music lovers on an intricate journey both into the artist’s mind and to a place of musical inspiration. It’s the message of Greg and Voitek’s Music Manifesto last year. It’s the message they’ve lived and worked by since before their days as 3 Channels: stay curious, have faith in others, appreciate life. Take what you do seriously, but don’t take life seriously… How we live it is ‘The Choice’ we all have to make. 
A bold statement against insular club culture, closed minds and lack of innovation, ‘The Choice’ continues Catz ‘N Dogz positive broadcasts with the help of Miss Bunty and three great friends on remix duties. Bunty instantly flips us back 25 years to a warehouse in New Jersey with a soulful, provocative sermon about the best things in life, people and places. She wraps herself tightly around a thumping, grainy jacking acid beat creating instant uplift, focus and a lesson we should all aspire to. 
Her powerful delivery works just as effectively over all remixes. Belgian Beton returns to Pets with a darker, rippling rhythm that drops its anchor in the timeless techno abyss while Bawrut continues the rich vein of form he’s developed on Ransom Note with a caustic frenzy of breaks, acid and raw, gut-wrenching sirens. Finally we have Soul Notes and Shall Not Fade affiliate Adryiano close the case. Laying down a bed of peppy organs, he creates a fittingly classic garage vibe for Bunty to sign out to.
