🌆 "Microcosmic Sunsets" is the second track released from the new BVSMV EP "Dreaming in Slow Motion", out 9/8 on Triplicate Records. Dream pop, sunset electronica, synthwave, and ChillSynth all come together for an ambient chill track that evokes the color of the sunset in its name. The boutique multi-effects pedal, the Hologram Microcosm, was heavily used on this track, which also inspired the name of the track.

"Lotusland" was created to feel slightly otherwordly. I worked on this song over an 8-month period and I was trying to capture the emotional state of joy and wonder but with a subtle hint that overindulgence in such is also not a good state.
The last minute of the song has a shift in feeling, slightly more blissful and dreamy, but with subtle deliberate changes in the sound quality to reflect this hint that more is not always better. That is where the title "Lotusland" came from - a term meaning "An idyllic realm of contentment and self-indulgence".
