Ezekiel's Wheel

This set was first performed on January 1st 2024 in San Francisco at the Breakfast of Champions block party on the Space Cowboys main stage.

A RE:CONSTRUCTED set is a *long* way removed from a standard DJ set. It's a live/hybrid set.

Simon takes hundreds of tracks from his huge library, painstakingly deconstructs them (using Ai if needed to separate elements from the original tracks), and then pieces everything back together to create a hugely emotive and immersive musical story.

He uses Ableton Live and multiple controllers to trigger up to 16 individual channels of audio at any one time during the performance, and also performs live keyboard overdubs. The end result is a hugely addictive, compulsive and compelling blend of music that's often new, often familiar but always utterly unique.

Rejected Demo for a medieval role playing game.

Brief: A 3 minute loopable cinematic orchestral piece with 3 distinct sections. Beginning with sparse instrumentation, and then building slowly in intensity, before climaxing in section 3. Client told me it was "too dark" for the particular level of the game. You win some, you lose some. 🤷‍♂️

Look out for a derivative of this in a music library soon! 🤞

Mix down engineer - John Lyons, edits assistance by Richie Fermie. Recorded and fucked up at Dos Shot Studios/Mo' Wax London. "

***This came out before web reviews, however, IMHO, it's one of the most badass and technically accomplished mixes of its time.

The pic is an actual scan, the Cream logo is embossed and the light gold and gray print doesn't show up very well, but it's Cream for  sure... :-)
